Hello!
My name is Liz Tubb and I am currently in the 12th grade at First Colonial High School. I have had a passion for helping people my whole life but, it wasn't until my freshman year of high school that I realized I wanted to be a teacher.
For my girl scout silver award project, my troop ran a day care for young girl scouts. I was in charge of helping the girls get their art patches. I truly enjoyed this experience because it gave me the chance to really teach and organize everything that the girls would be doing.
When a student finally understands a topic that they have been working on vigorously but couldn't quite grasp. When the light goes on and their face lights up, that is what I love, that is I why want to teach.
I would like to teach high school history. In the fall of 2017, I will be attending George Mason University to obtain my history major.
